We were given a very warm welcome at the Met Office, and were able to see all the equipment used and data collected by the staff there. We made a tornado in a bottle! We were allowed to study the weather station they have outside, and even waved to by some pilots on the runway! We learnt how much hard work goes into ensuring Valley has an accurate weather forecast!
In another section of the camp we were allowed inside a huge T2 aircraft simulator. We were shown how different weather conditions affect the flying, and told how much the pilots rely on an up to date forecast. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although some of us felt a bit queasy afterwards!

Cawsom groeso cynnes yn y Met Office, a gwelwyd yr holl offer a gwybodaeth pwysig sy'n cael ei gasglu yna gan y staff. Gwnaethom gorwynt mewn potel! Cawsom weld yr orsaf dywydd allanol, a hyd yn oed y peilots ar y rhedfa! Dysgasom am y gwaith caled sydd yn cael ei wneud er mwyn sicrhau bod gan Fali ragolygon tywydd cywir!
Mewn rhan arall o'r camp cawsom fynd i mewn i anferth o efelychydd awyren. Gwelsom sut effaith mae'r tywydd yn ei gael ar yr hedfan, a faint mae'r peilotiaid yn ddibynnu ar ragolygon tywydd cyson. Mwynhaodd pawb y profiad er fod rhai ohonym yn teimlo fymryn yn sal wedyn!
