Gwasanaeth Tân / Fire service

Brynhawn Iau cafodd plant y Dosbarth Derbyn a Blynyddoedd 3 a 4 y cyfle i wrando ar Mr Jim Hughes o'r Gwasanaeth Tân yn ymdrin a pheryglon tan. Bu'n esbonio gwaith y dyn tân, sut i rwystro tanau rhag cychwyn yn ddamweiniol ac hefyd sut i gadw'n ddiogel mewn achos o dân.

On Thursday afternoon Mr Jim Hughes from the Fire Department visited the school. The Reception Class and Years 3 and 4 were made aware of the dangers of fire. He explained the fireman's work, how to avoid accidental fires and also how to stay safe in the event of a fire.

DON'T TOUCH TELL! / PAID CYFFWRTH DWEUD!

Today we were visited by Mark Wincup. He came to give a little magic show with the message of DON'T TOUCH TELL!
Year 6 were made aware of the pressures they might face later on in life given by friends, they need to make sure they think for themselves.
Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the session and everyone remembered the simple message.

Cafodd Blwyddyn 6 wybod am y posib o bwysau gan ffrindiau yn y dyfodol. Mae angen iddynt sicrhau eu bod yn meddwl dros eu hunain.

Is your child 3 before the 31st August 2010?
Ysgol y Tywyn will be holding an open afternoon on Thursday 4th of February from 1.30pm. This will be an opportunity for you to come and visit the school, meet the teachers and learn about what goes on during school hours.
If you have a child or know of anyone with a child of Nursery age, please come along.

Bydd Ysgol y Tywyn yn cynnal prynhawn agored ar Ddydd Iau, Chwefror 4ydd am 1.30y.p.
Bydd hyn yn gyfle i chi ddod i ymweld a'r ysgol, cyfarfod yr athrawon a dod yn gyfarwydd a beth sydd yn mynd ymlaen yn ystod oriau'r ysgol.
Os ydych chi neu ydych chi'n adnabod rhywun a phlentyn o oed Meithrin, dewch am dro.

Haiti appeal

Last Friday afternoon, the school held an hour of fun to raise money for the Haiti appeal. We were selling cakes, guessing the name of the teddy, selling pencils and much much more.

In just a short amount of time we managed to raise £337.90

This is a fantastic achievement. We would like to thank everyone who kindly donated to this appeal.
