Blue Tortoise

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn dysgu am y lliw glas. Mwynhaodd pawb y stori am y Blue Tortoise gan Alan Rogers. Mae'r stori yn seiliedig ar chwedl Aesop - Y Crwban a'r Gwningen. Mae Blue Tortoise yn hwylio i ynys fechan am bicnic. Dyma ni yn adeiladu pontydd, yn chwythu'r cychod dros y dwr ac yn gwneud llinellau tonnog.

This week we have been learning about the colour 'blue'. We all enjoyed the story about the Blue Tortoise by Alan Rogers. The story is based on Aesop's fable - The Tortoise and the Hare. Blue tortoise sails to a little off-shore island for a picnic and gets there before his friends. Here we are building bridges, blowing boats across the water and making waves!

Halloween Disco

Thank you to everyone who attended our Halloween disco last night. Lots of children and parents came in their costumes and everyone had great fun dancing. We raised £326 for our school fund. Thank you for your support.

Diolch i bawb a ddaeth i gefnogi'r Disco Calan Gaeaf. Cafwyd noson ddifyr a mwynhaodd pawb y dawnsio, paentio wynebau, y cwn poeth a'r melysion. Gwnaed elw o £326. Llawer o ddiolch unwaith eto am eich cefnogaeth.

Our Senses - Touch

This week Class 1 have been learning about our senses. We have learnt that we have 5 senses and this week have have been concentrating on Touch.

Heddiw ymwelodd P.C. Brian Jones a Tarian y Ddraig a ni. Bu'n sgwrsio am y bobl sy'n ein helpu yn y gymuned, yn arbennig y bobl hynny sy'n ein helpu mewn argyfwng .Cawsom brynhawn difyr iawn yn ei gwmni. 

Today P C Brian Jones and his friend Tarian the Dragon visited the school. He talked to us about the people who help us in the community, in particular the people who help us in an emergency. We all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

Coch a melyn, pinc a gwyrdd, oren a phorffor a glas! Roedd neuadd yr ysgol yn llawn lliw a phlant bach Y Feithrin  ar eu gorau yn canu am y byd a'i liwiau.

Nursery Thanksgiving Celebration

Red and yellow, pink and green, orange and purple and blue! The school hall was very colourful and the Nursery children in fine voice giving thanks for the world and its wonderful colours.

Sortio a matsio / Sorting and Matching

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn sortio a matsio. Dyma ni yn dosbarthu siapiau, bagiau ffa, cerbydau bach a thedis i setiau o wahanol liw!

This week we have been sorting and matching. Here we are sorting bean bags, vehicles, shapes and teddies into sets of different colours!

Today Pearl delivered the letter 'e' to class 1. The Reception children had fun playing with the foam whilst year 1 children were busy using their dictionaries to find words that begin with the letter 'e'.

Red Glasses, Rockets and Strawberry Jam!

Storiau'r wythnos hon oedd  'The Red Glasses', 'Red Rockets and Rainbow Jelly' a 'The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear'. Dyma ni yn edrych drwy lensys coch, yn chwarae gyda'r roced goch ac yn bwyta craceri gyda jam mefus arnynt!

This week's stories were 'The Red Glasses', 'Red Rockets and Rainbow Jelly' and 'The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear'. Here we are looking through red lenses, playing with the red rocket and eating crackers with strawberry jam!
