Yr wythnos hon, mwynhaodd plant Dosbarth 1 stori Handa's Surprise gan Eileen Browne. Geneth fach sydd yn byw yng Nghenya ydi Handa. Un diwrnod mae'n rhoddi saith ffrwyth mewn basged i'w ffrind Akeyo. Pa ffrwyth fydd orau gan Akayo? Mae'r ateb yn dipyn o sypreis! Yn ogystal a dysgu am dy mwd Handa, ei hysgol, anifeiliaid Affricanaidd, a gwrando ar gerddoriaeth Affricanaidd, bu'r plant yn blasu ffrwythau Handa. Ac oherwydd nad oedd guavas yn Tesco, cafodd y plant gyfle i yfed sudd guava! Roedd yn fendigedig!
Class 1's story of the week was ‘Handa’s Surprise’ written by Eileen Browne. Handa is a little girl who lives in Kenya. One day she puts seven fruit in a basket for her friend Akeyo. Which fruit will Akeyo like best? Well the answer turns out to be a big surprise! As well as learning about Handa’s mud house, her school, African animals and listening to African music, the children also tasted Handa’s fruit. And because there were no guavas in Tesco - they drank guava juice instead! It was delicious!
