Beicio Noddedig/Sponsored Bike Ride

Last Friday the school took part in a Sponsored Bike Ride to raise funds for Cancer Research. Having received permission from Search and Rescue, we all rode our bikes and scooters along the runway. It was a very exciting afternoon and we are now hoping to raise lots of money for this very worthy cause.

Brynhawn Gwener cafodd y plant brofiad arbennig iawn. Cawsant ganiatad gan wasanaeth achub y Llu Awyr i feicio ar redfa'r maes awyr a hynny er mwyn codi arian tuag ar Gronfa Ymchwil Canser. Bu'n brynhawn i'w gofio a mawr obeithiwn y byddwn yn llwyddo i godi llawert o arian tuag at yr achos teilwng hwn.

This morning the Nursery children took part in a sponsored bike ride to raise funds for Cancer Research. We rode our bikes and scooters on the school yard and now we're all hoping to raise lots of money for this very worthy cause.

Bore heddiw bu plant y Feithrin yn brysur yn codi arian tuag at Gronfa Ymchwil Canser a hynny drwy reidio beic ar iard yr ysgol. Cawsom lawer o hwyl ac rydym yn awr yn gobeithio y byddwn yn codi llawer o arian tuag at y gronfa hon.

Key ring / Scones

Today, years 5&6 visited Holyhead High School as part of the transition session. Year 5 were given the task to create key rings. These could be any design using CAD (computer aided design) software. The results were brilliant.

Year 6 were given the task of creating a nutritious scone. The children weighed, measured, mixed and made a mess, but after all the hard work, they baked some lovely scones.

Heddiw ymwelodd Blwyddyn 5&6 ag Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi. Cafodd disgyblion Blwyddyn 6 gyfle i bobi sgons maethlon a dysgodd pob un ohonynt sut i gymysu, mesur, pwyso'r cynhwysion a gwneud llanast!
Llwyddodd Blwyddyn 5 i greu torch allweddi gan ddefnyddio rhaglen CAD ar y cyfrifiadur. Roedd y canlyniadau yn wych.

Classe de Mer / Ysgol y Mor

Once again Year 6 are taking part in the Classe de Mer project. Last Tuesday, the children set off from Plas Menai in Rib speed boats and headed towards Caernarfon castle followed by a fast ride down the straits towards Beaumaris, stopping along the way to learn many different facts and learn some of the history that surrounds this area. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Unwaith eto'r flwyddyn hon mae Blwyddyn 6 yn cymryd rhan ym mhrosiect y Classe de Mer. Dydd Mawrth diwethaf cychwynodd y plant mewn cychod cyflym o Blas Menai i gyfeiriad Castell Caernarfon ac yna i lawr y Fenai i gyfeiriad Biwmares gan aros yma ac acw i ddysgu am y wlad o'u cwmpas. Mwynhaodd pawb y diwrnod yn fawr iawn.

Gwasanaeth Diolchgarwch Y Feithrin / Nursery Thanksgiving Service

Coch a melyn, pinc a gwyrdd, oren a phorffor a glas! Roedd neuadd yr ysgol yn llawn lliw a phlant bach Y Feithrin a'r Dragonflies ar eu gorau yn canu am y byd a'i liwiau.

Red and yellow, pink and green, orange and purple and blue! The school hall was full of colour and the Nursery children and Dragonflies in fine voice giving thanks for the world and its wonderful colours.

Our Pets / Ein hanifeiliaid anwes

In Class 2 we have been busy learning about pets and how to care for them. Several children actually brought their pets into school and explained to their classmates how their pets liked to be treated.

Mae plant Dosbarth 2 wedi bod yn brysur yn dysgu am anifeiliaid anwes a sut i ofalu amdanynt. Daeth llawer o'r plant a'u hanifeiliaid i'r ysgol a chawsant hwyl yn sgwrsio amdanynt wrth weddill y dosbarth.

Another activity which was very much enjoyed by the class was bandaging. All pupils brought a soft toy into school and were given a variety of bandages to work with. It was great fun and the children learnt a great deal about folding into halves and quarters and measuring the length of different bandages.
Gweithgaredd hwyliog arall oedd rhoddi rhwymyn ar anifail. Daeth y plant a thegan meddal i'r dosbarth a chafodd pob un amrywiaeth o rwymau i'w defnyddio. Dysgodd y plant lawer am hanneru, chwarteru a mesur hyd gwahanol rwymau.
