Deio'r Ddraig / Deio the Dragon

Yr wythnos hon, gyda help Deio'r Ddraig,  rydym wedi bod yn paratoi at Ddydd Gwyl Dewi Sant. Dyma ni yn gwneud dreigiau o Duplo a chennin o bapur crep. Rydym hefyd wedi mwynhau storiau am ddreigiau ac hefyd wedi canu sawl can Gymraeg.

This week, with a little help from Deio the Dragon, we have been getting ready for Saint David's Day. Here we are making dragons out of Duplo and leeks out of crepe paper. We have enjoyed many stories about dragons and sung lots of Welsh songs.

Bird Watch

Over the past couple of weeks Class 1 have been busy learning about birds. Today was the day everyone was looking forward to as we had our Bird Watch. We enjoyed learning how to use the binoculars and we made sure we were quiet so that we didn't frighten the birds away. We saw a Robin, quite a few Blue Tits, a Chaffinch and many Blackbirds. Tomorrow we will be looking at our results and drawing graphs.

Rydym wedi bod yn brysur yn Nosbarth 1 yn paratoi at ein diwrnod Gwylio Adar. Heddiw cawsom hwyl yn cadw'n dawel ac yn llonydd fel nad oeddem yn dychryn yr adar.

Ymweliad a'r Met Office & T2 Simulator Visit

As part of our Weather theme work Class 4 have been very lucky to have the opportunity to visit the Met Office and T2 Simulator at RAF Valley.
We were given a very warm welcome at the Met Office, and were able to see all the equipment used and data collected by the staff there. We made a tornado in a bottle! We were allowed to study the weather station they have outside, and even waved to by some pilots on the runway! We learnt how much hard work goes into ensuring Valley has an accurate weather forecast!
In another section of the camp we were allowed inside a huge T2 aircraft simulator. We were shown how different weather conditions affect the flying, and told how much the pilots rely on an up to date forecast. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although some of us felt a bit queasy afterwards!

Fel rhan o'n gwaith thema ar y Tywydd bu Dosbarth 4 yn lwcus iawn i gael y cyfle i ymweld a'r Met Office a T2 simulator yn y LlAB Fali.
Cawsom groeso cynnes yn y Met Office, a gwelwyd yr holl offer a gwybodaeth pwysig sy'n cael ei gasglu yna gan y staff. Gwnaethom gorwynt mewn potel! Cawsom weld yr orsaf dywydd allanol, a hyd yn oed y peilots ar y rhedfa! Dysgasom am y gwaith caled sydd yn cael ei wneud er mwyn sicrhau bod gan Fali ragolygon tywydd cywir!
Mewn rhan arall o'r camp cawsom fynd i mewn i anferth o efelychydd awyren. Gwelsom sut effaith mae'r tywydd yn ei gael ar yr hedfan, a faint mae'r peilotiaid yn ddibynnu ar ragolygon tywydd cyson. Mwynhaodd pawb y profiad er fod rhai ohonym yn teimlo fymryn yn sal wedyn!

Rhif 3 / Number 3

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn dysgu am rif 3. Dyma ni yn cael hwyl yn dysgu ffurfio ac adnabod y rhif.

Ffair lyfrau Scholastic / Scholastic Book fair

Roedd ein ffair lyfrau yn llwyddiant ysgubol. Prynwyd gwerth £600 o lyfrau. Diolch bawb am eich cefnogaeth.
