Sion Corn yn Wylfa / Santa at Wylfa

Today the Nursery and Reception class visited Santa at Wylfa. Santa has been a very busy man this Christmas visiting our school a few times and giving up his busy schedule to see more children at Wylfa. Once again everyone were very lucky to receive a gift to take home.

Heddiw, aeth y Dosbarth Derbyn a'r Feithrin i ymweld a Sion Corn yn Wylfa. Mae Sion Corn wedi bod yn ddyn prysur iawn. Cymerodd eiliad o'i ddyddiadur pwysig i ddod i'r Wylfa. Unwaith eto roedd pawb yn ffodus iawn i dderbyn anrheg i fynd adre.

Christmas Log / Log Nadolig

The reception have been busy making Christmas Logs. Everybody helped to mix and decorate these delicious logs. I think they went down a treat when looking at these pictures.

Mae'r dosbarth Derbyn wedi bod yn brysur yn creu logiau Nadolig. Roedd pawb wedi helpu i gymysgu ac addurno'r log. Dwi'n meddwl fod pawb wedi mwynhau yn ol y lluniau.

Parti 'Dolig / Christmas Party

On Tuesday we had our annual Christmas lunch (which was lovely).
Following our lunch we were visited by Santa with his sack full of presents.
Every child in Ysgol Y Tywyn were lucky to receive a gift from Santa. Thank you Santa!
In the afternoon we had a few fun games and a disco. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day!

Dydd Mawrth cawsom ein cinio Nadolig (roedd yn fendigedig).
Ar ol cael llond bol o fwyd cawsom ymweliad gan Sion Corn, gyda'i sach yn llawn anrhegion.
Roedd pob plentyn yn Ysgol Y Tywyn wedi bod yn ffodus iawn i gael anrheg gan Sion Corn. Diolch yn fawr!
Yn y prynhawn cawsom y cyfle i chwarae ychydig o gemau a cael disco. Roedd pawb wedi mwynhau y diwrnod!

Swtan

Our post Christmas concert treat was a great success.

We visited Swtan - the thatched cottage in Church Bay and saw how children in the 1800's would have celebrated Christmas. We also saw where granny kept her teeth at night and how to flush a toilet using soil.
We had lunch on the beach in the sunshine and watched the ferries coming in and out. BLISS!

Cafodd blwyddyn 1&2 ymweld a Swtan ddoe. Cafodd y disgyblion weld sut oedd plant y 1800 yn dathlu'r Nadolig. Gwelsom hefyd lle'r oedd nain yn cadw ei dannedd gosod.
Cawsom ginio ar y traeth gan wylio'r llongau. NEFOEDD!

Gwobr AUR / GOLD Award

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i staff y gegin yn Ysgol Y Tywyn. Wythnos diwethaf cafodd yr ysgol y wobr aur gyntaf ym Mon gan Eden am lendid y gegin. Mae hyn yn glod mawr i'r holl staff.

Congratulations to the staff in the kitchen. They are the first school on Anglesey to receive a gold award from Eden for the cleanliness of the Kitchens. This is a great acheivement for the kitchen staff.

Christmas Concert / Sioe Nadolig

Yesterday we witnessed the greatest show in North Wales. Ysgol y Tywyn re-enacted the traditional Christmas Nativity. After weeks of preparation the children performed brilliantly to a packed hall. Thank you to everyone to helped with preparing the children for their big performance.

Ddoe, gwelsom y sioe Nadolig orau yng Ngogledd Cymru. Ar ol wythnosau o baratoi, perfformiodd y disgyblion yn wych i neuadd orlawn. Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb am helpu i baratoi y disgyblion ar gyfer y perfformiad mawr.

Manchester United

Last night 16 children from years 3 to 6 visited Old Trafford in Manchester. This was an amazing opportunity for many children to watch their first ever live football match.

Everyone were sitting 4 rows from the front beside the corner flag, which meant we were close to the pitch. We were lucky, both goals were scored in the first half, right in front of our eyes.
Even though it was a late night, everyone enjoyed themselves and also behaved brilliantly, all the children were a credit to Ysgol Y Tywyn.

Neithiwr cafodd 16 o ddisgyblion y cyfle i fynd i weld gem fyw yn Old Trafford. Roedd hyn yn gyfle arbennig i rhai disgyblion weld eu gem gyntaf yn fyw.

Roedd pawb yn eistedd 4 rhes o'r cae, wrth ymyl y gornel, sydd yn golygu ein bod yn agos iawn i'r cae.

Yn ffodus iawn roedd y ddwy gol wedi cael eu sgorio yn yr hanner cyntaf o flaen lle'r oeddem yn eistedd.

Er ei bod yn noson hwyr, roedd y disgyblion wedi mwynahu yn fawr iawn, hefyd roedd pawb wedi ymddwyn yn wych, sydd yn glod i'r ysgol.

Santa's Magic Medicine / Ffisig Hud Sion Corn

Today we were given a fantastic performance by the Nursery and Dragon Flies children in Santa's Magic Medicine. Poor old Santa wasn't well, but everyone manages to help make a magical medicine for Santa to make him feel better before his long journey.

Heddiw roedd disgyblion y Feithrin a'r 'Dragon Flies' wedi perfformio sioe 'dolig ' arbennig o dda, 'Santa's Magical Medicine'. Gan fod Sion Corn yn sal, daeth pawb at ei gilydd i greu ffisig i wneud iddo deimlo'n well.
