Mrs Owen - Sign Language

Daeth Mrs Owen i Ddosbarth 4 cyn y gwyliau i ddangos i ni sut i gyfathrebu efo'n dwylo. Mae Mrs Owen yn gallu cyfathrebu drwy ddefnyddio Makaton a BSL.

Mrs Owen came to Class 4 before the holidays to show us how to communicate with our hands. Mrs Owen is able to communicate through Makaton and BSL.  

Dydd Mawrth Crempog - Shrove Tuesday

Cafodd pawb hwyl dda heddiw yn cogino a bwyta crempog!

Every one has had fun today cooking and eating pancakes!

Music/Cerdd

Here are class 1 going on a 'Musical Walk'. We played our instruments as loud as we could. We then practiced playing them quietly and gradually getting louder, we also learnt that this is called a Crescendo. 

After our walk we returned to class and practiced playing our instruments to the beat of 8 and then on every other beat. Our class was very noisy! 

Rydym wedi cael gwers cerdd yn y dosbarth derbyn. Roedd y dosbarth yn swnllyd iawn!

Tyfu ffa / Growing beans

A yw hadau angen dŵr i dyfu?  Dyma ni yn dyfrio ffa mewn jar – ond beth fyddai'n digwydd pe byddai rhai yn cael eu gadael heb ddwr?  Dewch i ddarganfod?  Dyma ni hefyd yn cyfri'r ffa ac yn gosod darluniau o'u tyfiant yn y drefn gywir.
                                                                                                               

Do seeds need water to grow?  Here we are watering beans in a jar – but what would happen if some were left without water? Let’s find out! We also had fun counting beans and putting pictures of their growth in the right order.

Siarter Iaith Gymraeg / Welsh Language Charter

Mae Ysgol y Tywyn wedi ymrwymo I’r Siarter Iaith. Nod syml y Siarter yw codi ymwybyddiaeth o’r Iaith Gymraeg a diwylliant Cymru. Ddoe mewn seremoni yng Ngwesty Tre Ysgawen cyflwynwyd y Wobr Efydd i’r ysgol am ei hymdrech arbennig . Yno i dderbyn y wobr ar ran yr ysgol yr oedd dau ddisgybl o Blwyddyn 6. Llongyfarchiadau gwresog Ysgol y Tywyn!

Ysgol y Tywyn is commited to the Welsh Language Charter.  The overall objective of the Welsh Language Charter is to raise awareness of the language and the culture of Wales. Yesterday in a ceremony held at Tre Ysgawen Hotel the school was awarded the Bronze Award for its efforts. There to receive the award on behalf of the school were two pupils from Year 6. Congratulations Ysgol y Tywyn!  

Rhif 2 / Number 2

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn dysgu am rhif 2. Mwynhaodd pawb y stori am Arch Noa. Rydym hefyd wedi dysgu sut i ffurfio'r rhif yn gywir ac hefyd adnabod y rhif drwy amrywiaeth o gemau a gweithgareddau.

This week we've been learning about number 2. We all enjoyed the story about Noah's Ark. We have also learnt how to correctly form the number and  recognise the number through games and activities.

Y Glaw / The Rain

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn sgwrsio am y glaw. Cawsom hwyl yn rhoi ein hesgidiau glaw mewn parau, yn gwrando ar swn y glaw, yn printio gyda esgidiau glaw ac yn gwneud lluniau o ambarelau.

This week we have been talking about the rain. We had fun sorting out wellies, making a rain shelter, listening to the rain under tarpaulin, printing with wellies and drawing pictures of umbrellas.
