Cynllun gwen / Designed to Smile

Ddoe daeth Dewi'r Ddraig i edrych amdanom. Dysgodd i ni sut i edrych ar ol ein dannedd drwy fwyta'n iach a'u glanhau yn rheolaidd. Rydym yn awr yn glanhau ein dannedd bob bore ar ol bwyd bach!

Yesterday Dewi the Dragon and his friends came to see us! They taught us how to look after our teeth by eating healthily and brushing them regularly. We now brush our teeth every morning after snack!

Rhif 2 / Number 2

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn dysgu am rhif 2. Rydym wedi dysgu sut i ffurfio'r rhif yn gywir ac hefyd adnabod y rhif drwy amrywiaeth o gemau a gweithgareddau.

This week we've been learning about number 2. We have learnt how to correctly form the number and  recognise the number through games and activities.

Gwneud eira / Making snow

Yr wythnos hon cafodd plant y Feithrin hwyl yn gwneud eira i Pengwin! Roedd angen defnyddio 'cornflour' a sebon shafio. Wrth ei gyffwrdd teimlai yn feddal iawn. Llwyddasom i wneud dyn eira digon o sioe!

This week the Nursery children had fun making snow for Penguin! We used cornflour and shaving foam. It felt very soft and we even managed to build a snowman with it!

The tomato plant

We have a fantastic tomato plant in our class which is still producing tomatoes since July last year.  I wonder how long it can go on?

Mae gennym blanhigyn tomato anhygoel yn ein dosbarth sydd wedi bod yn cynhyrchu tomatos ers Mis Gorffennaf! Tybed am faint y bydd hyn yn parhau!

How to use a thermometer

We had great fun measuring the temperature of snow and water.  You have to be careful when you hold a thermometer, you must not hold the bulb at the bottom!
Cawsom lawer o hwyl yn mesur tymheredd yr eira a'r dwr. Rhaid bod yn ofalus wrth afael mewn thermomedr ac ni ddylech afael yn y bwlb ar ei waelod.

Investigating Snow

In Class 2 we have been finding out how quickly we can melt snow.  We collected pots of snow and put them in different places.  We thought that wrapping the snow with fleece would melt it quickly because it would keep it warm; we were wrong!  The fleece stopped the snow from melting.

Yr wythnos hon yn Nosbarth 2 rydym wedi bod yn darganfod pa mor sydyn y gallwn doddi eira. Aethom ati i gasglu eira mewn potiau ac yna gosodasom y potiau mewn gwahanol fanau yn y dosbarth  i ddadmer. Roeddem yn meddwl y byddai lapio'r potiau mewn fflis yn toddi'r eira yn gyflym, ond roeddem yn anghywir!

Yr wythnos hon rydym wedi bod yn dysgu am yr Arctig. Rydym yn awr yn gwybod ym mhle mae'r Arctig, pa anifeiliaid sy'n byw yno, pa mor oer yw hi yno a llawer mwy! A heddiw, choeliwch chi fyth - fe ddaeth yr eira!


 This week we have been learning about the Arctic! We now know where the Arctic is, how cold it can get, what kind of animals live there and much more! And guess what, today the snow arrived!

Power of Poetry

Congratulations to pupils from years 4, 5 & 6 on their success in writing a poem about a chosen topic in history. The competition was open to all school in the UK and the winners will now have their poems published in a poetry book that will be released in April.

Well done!

Llongyfarchiadau i ddisgyblion o flwyddyn 4, 5 a 6 am lwyddo i ysgrifennu cerdd am unrhyw gyfnod hanesyddol. Roedd y gystadleuaeth yn agored i holl ddisgyblion Prydain. Bydd y cerddi llwyddiannus yn cael eu cyhoeddi mewn llyfr cerddi yn mis Ebrill.

Un Bore Rhewllyd/One Frosty Morning

Mae Sioni Rhew wedi bod yn brysur iawn yr wythnos hon. Dyma ni yn mynd am dro o amgylch yr ysgol i edmygu ol ei fysedd. Cawsom hwyl fawr hefyd yn dweud helo wrth ein cysgodion cyn dychwelyd i'n dosbarth cynnes!

 

Jack Frost has been very busy this week. Here we are going for a walk to admire his work. We also had fun saying hello to our shadows before going back to our nice warm Nursery!
